“How much time do you need to write my speech?”
In order for me to devote the proper attention to your speech, please contact me at least 30 days before the date of your speaking engagement. A shorter time frame will necessitate a “rush” charge and may minimize our opportunity to create the best possible piece for you.

“Do we need to meet in person?”
One-on-one time is critical for us to make sure I’m clear on your goals for your speech and to give me a strong sense of your personality and speaking style. Usually a 30-45 minute meeting is sufficient, with phone follow-up as necessary. If distance is an issue, we can communicate via video conference or phone interview. But nothing beats a face-to-face.

“Do you offer speech editing services, or just writing the whole thing from scratch?”
Yes, I can help you with an existing speech at any stage of the game. You hardly have enough time to read this FAQ, so let me flesh out your research, focus your message, add personal elements that will connect you with your audience, or strengthen any part of your speech that you simply don’t have time to fix.

“You’ve written comedy scripts! Can you make me as funny as Jerry Seinfeld?”
Probably not. But that shouldn’t be our goal. Humor in a speech is wonderful if it comes naturally from you and from the content, and if it’s appropriate to the audience. I believe in adding levity where we can, where it makes sense and where you feel comfortable with it.
